A nursery environment where children come first…

At KatieB Kids we recognise that children are full of unique potential, gifted from birth with a hundred languages to express and communicate themselves.

Throughout our nursery, the environment communicates acceptance of all forms of expressions and diversity, where children can play and learn together, free from judgement, to use all their senses and skills, body and mind, to express their uniqueness and expressive potential.

Our environment is full of natural richness, where children can be researchers; through processes of exploration, transformation and hands-on interaction with the variety of materials available to them.

Awe and wonder throughout our nursery is strengthened with quality interactions. Our skilled educators have a strong pedagogical knowledge of young children, together with empathy and relational skills, which his partnered with an in depth understanding of the materials available. Our educators acknowledge that the learning process is a tool for supporting the interests of every unique child through the hundred languages of the Reggio Emilia approach. Our educators appreciate the richness of the qualities (not the quantity) of the materials available, the richness of their connections, and the relationship between materials and children. It is recognised that all the elements are connected by the sense of the process of that child, relating to their uniqueness: what meanings, stories and knowledge they are creating.

Throughout our nursery we offer opportunities for children to stay for the joy of creating, looking for connections with the world and themselves.

At the heart of our nursery is a world where children work, play, explore and discover together. Where children want to learn for no other reason that they want to learn. Because it is inspiring, because it is interesting, and because it is fun.
